Our Footprints of 2015
2015 was a very fulfilled year. Many Kindred Spirits came to visit as teachers, students, guests and volunteers. Exceptional people from different walks of life, at different stages on their path through life. Their stories of hardship, trials, lost loves, pain and disease were songs of life of how they were challenged, how they overcame and saw light to carry them through. I am grateful and feel blessed that these women & men came to us here and trusted us, and I hope through their experience here that it has added to their knowledge and given them more tools on how to find harmony with life and rediscover their inner child and love of Life.
January started with Linda Salinas's Clinic of Carolyn Resnick's Waterhole Rituals. Carolyn's Resnick's Methods are, for me, one of the best ways to find that special connection with your horse and create a deep and trusting bond. Linda was an exceptional instructor, teacher and guide. Her love of life & horses, her dedication, her smiles and knowledge were a gift given to us that week. Thank you Linda and thank you Nancy Zintsmaster for hosting this clinic in your truly lovely place by the volcano and a special thanks to your endearing & special horses.
A fun February with a "Yoga in Harmony with Horses" Corinne Aulakh as our Yoga teacher with students & guests. Yoga with horses, yoga on the beach, yoga in the water, upside down and bonfires with singing, all food for the soul!
Moments from our Yoga Teacher Training Course in May. Corinne Aulakh was our teacher and our students from all over the world!
Happiness is........YTT at Kindred Spirits!
Another Yoga in Harmony with Horses Retreat with guests all the way from Australia and what a blast of fun they were, Loved Mary's enthousiasm! Having mother & daughter here together was really nice to see, something we all need to do more often!
Stacey Warner, Equine Therapist, comes to Costa Rica for the 1st time. What a soul searching experience it was as women unravelled themselves and opened their hearts to the horses. I was honoured by both horses & women alike.
August brought Magnus into our lives. A big Lusitano stallion with a big and gentle heart.
Then came Javier Perez Breton, a professional rider and trainer from the Royal Classical School of Spanish Horses in Jerez, Spain. What a pleasure and honour to have him with us for this clinic.
September brings flat blue seas & wide flat beaches, perfect for another Yoga in Harmony with Horses. Monica & Olivia from the UK joined us for this retreat. Monica shared with us her experience as a Massage therapist and helped heal some of our aches and pains, while Olivia with her charm and spiritual awareness gave good grounding advice to many of us:)
September also brought a Full Blood Moon!
a full moon ride was a must!
October YTT with new students, brought new friendships as they shared their Yoga practice and developed their skills & knowledge together.
Erica, who was part of the Equine Yoga Program received her certification
October also brought Anna Ullenius from Sweden, a coach in Equine Theraphy, who uses her experience as a certified Access Consciousness facilitator together with her professional experience as a Dressage rider & trainer and horse communicator to help people understand their life's desire and path.
In November Irum Naqvi came to visit bringing with her a friend. As a many years Certified Professional Yoga Teacher Trainer, this was her first experience with Yoga & Horses. In May 2016 Irum will be coming to give a YTT course at Kindred Spirits.
2015 has finished its course, the light it shone upon us fades, but the experiences, the memories and the friendships made from kindred spirits coming together, does not. I give thanks to these wonderful spirits and to Mother Earth. Let the light shine onwards into 2016!
There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the earth. ~Rumi
