✹☾ The Cradle of Cacao

For generations, Cacao has brought together the Indigenous Keköldi tribe and Afro-Caribbean settlers. During harvest, the Indigenous would live with Afro-Caribbean families, sharing stories and knowledge. Today, Cacao remains central to life here, where children savor the Cacao fruit straight from the tree and artisans craft the purest, most exquisite chocolate.

This program is crafted by Vicky and hosted with Terry. You can visit Kindred Spirits for this Cacao journey exclusively or you can follow a Yoga Teacher Training with this week experience.
This experience deepens your connection with Cacao, enhances your understanding of its spiritual and healing properties, and equips you to lead your own Cacao ceremonies confidently.

Engage in a variety of enriching experiences, including sacred Cacao ceremonies, Pranayama and meditation sessions with horses, and a crystal bowl sound bath. You'll also visit a Cacao farm for a tree-to-bar chocolate making experience, and the Bri Bri indigenous community for a traditional Cacao ceremony and shamanic blessing.

We’re located in a serene horse farm in the Caribbean jungle of Costa Rica, providing a tranquil environment away while respecting nature and restoring the land.
Part of that effort has been the introduction of Cacao trees.

In the heart of the indigenous BriBri land - the land of Cacao - you'll spend 5 beautiful days gaining the knowledge and framework needed to confidently hold your own unique Cacao Ceremonies.

Discover and integrate your own unique medicine with guidance from the natural elements that surround you, to share this heart-opening elixir with others.

Our modules include both theory and practical experience:
- History and tradition of the ancient Mayan currency
- Science of Cacao ingestion
- Connection with the Spirit of the medicine
- Developing your unique signature for 'holding space'
- Confident preparation of Cacao with love
- Bean-to-brew process with the Bri Bri indigenous community
- Sacred ceremonial Cacao blessing and traditional ceremony with a Bri Bri shaman
- Tree-to-bar local experience

Victoria, an English-Australian residing in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, is passionately dedicated to sharing the plant medicine of cacao. She aims to create a global ripple effect of healing and heart opening. Combining her love for horses and cacao, Victoria offers a range of transformative experiences, including Ceremonial Cacao Teacher Training, Crystal Bowl Sound Baths with horses, Power Animal Meditation Journeys, and Shamanic Reiki.
Victoria invites you to join her for an incredible week of heart-opening self-discovery, connection to your soul tribe, nature, and the re-learning of indigenous ways. Let's share this medicine adventure together!
Abuelo Marcelino

INDIGENOUS BRI-BRI ELDER, NATURE & CULTURAL HERITAGE CUSTODIAN
It is an honour and a privilege to work with Abuelo Marcelino in sharing the knowledge and traditions of the Bri Bri. Marcelino Figueroa López is an elder of the Bri Bri indigenous community in Talamanca and a custodian of Ancestral Wisdom. Passionate about preserving his cultural heritage, he is active in mountain reforestation, focusing on the preservation of rare and Sacred Tree species. Marcelino has become a master of traditional plant medicine and welcomes visitors eager to learn.
During your stay we will travel to Abuelo Marcelino's home to experience a very special blessing and traditional cacao ceremony, learn the cacao processing in the way of the Bri Bri, sleep in a traditional moloka and listen to the history of cacao in this region. An authentic experience not to be missed!
Terry L. Newton

HOST, SCHOOL DIRECTOR, YOGA TEACHER, HORSE WOMAN, EQUINE YOGA PIONEER, METAPHYSICAL HEALER
Terry Newton, a certified 500h Yoga Teacher Trainer, Yoga Therapist (IAYT), Yin Yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, combines yoga and equine wisdom for a transformative experience. With a background in the Art of Liberty and Natural Horsemanship, Terry guides participants in connecting with horses via breath and energy systems, fostering self-discovery and inner harmony. Canadian-born Terry, who found solace in Costa Rica's jungles in 1995, has created a sanctuary at her jungle farm for healing and growth. A single mother of two, Terry draws from her own journey of healing from trauma. She serves not just as a teacher, but as a compassionate mentor, empowering others to find peace, rediscover inner strength, and illuminate their path.
